Product Introduction
The use of an insufflation gas filter helps prevent the contamination of equipment by miscellaneous debris that may be present in normal gas delivery. Such a filter also protects the insufflator should abdominal fluid or debris back up into the line. And the key to the optimal operation of an insufflation filter is for the PTFE membrane integrated in it to provide robust bacterial removal efficiency and meanwhile not to restrict flow to the patient.
The safe hydrophobic PTFE membrane filters we supply, offer 99.99% bacterial removal efficiency, helping prevent cross-contamination between patients and equipment, and protects against the dangers of reflux fluids from patient into the insufflator unit, offering both machine and patient protection.
The custom designed PTFE filter media, using PP/PET as substrates, employs a double-sided thermal bonding process, binder-free and contains no toxic substances. In addition to the general properties of PTFE membranes, such as naturally hydrophobic, biologically safe and great material compatibility, the laminated membrane features two-side hydrophobic PTFE, which means both faces of the membrane are PTFE, with exactly the same physical properties and desired performance, making both faces suitable for being used as working face and reducing assembly mistakes. This PTFE laminated membrane is reinforced and durable with a maximum service-life of 24 hours and meets various operating conditions. Easy and convenient for further processing and assembly, available in roll and precut circle forms.

Warnings
● Handle with care to avoid damaging the filter material.
● Sterilization by irradiation is not recommended.
● Do not use glue or cyclohexanone for joining with housing as it will clog the material itself, preventing gas from passing through.
● Avoid contact with alcohol or highly permeable solvents, otherwise, the material will become hydrophilic before it fully dries.
