    We choose Hydrophobic PTFE membrane which is wide used filter media for medical air vents, closing caps, priming filters. It is a high-end micro porous material which possesses natural hydrophobicity and broad chemical compatibility. Which as part of IV set: closing caps, priming filters with PTFE membrane is a venting device whose main function is covering the distal end of the intravenous (IV) line, which is not attached to a catheter or a needle. 

    To be an air vent: air elimination is an important feature, it prevents the flow and spillage of the intravenous fluid to the outside environment. But allows the passage of air that has been entrapped in the intravenous line or tubing.

    Closing caps which is also called priming caps are equipped on the infusion set end , have strict requirements for breathability and waterproofness, even bacterial resistance during use. XINNA PTFE membrane with pore size 0.22/0.45/1.2μm perfectly solve these problems, achieving a dual effect of breathability and protection.
    This material has long-term durability to meet various working conditions. We can provide rolls ,sheets or discs.

    Warning

    ● Handle with care to avoid damaging the filter material.
    ● Sterilization by irradiation is not available 
    ● Do not use glue or cyclohexanone for adhesion as it can clog the      material itself, preventing gas from passing through. 
    ● Avoid contact with alcohol or high-permeability solvents, otherwise, the material will become hydrophilic before it is fully dried.
