Product Introduction

A suction bacteria filter is specifically designed as a replacement component tailored for use with suction aspirator. In aspirator systems, suction filter is commonly placed between the suction pump and the secretion canister to prevent bacterial and particulate contaminate from entering hospital suction system or equipment.

A suction filter generally consists of two housings sealed around a filtering hydrophobic membrane, and the effectiveness of a suction filter to act as such a sterile barrier mainly depends on its key component: the hydrophobic PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane built into the filter. The custom-made 0.2μm PTFE membrane allows adequate airflow to pass through while effectively blocking liquids, bacteria, aerosolized particles and other microorganisms with 99.9% efficiency, preventing any potential introduction of harmful contaminants into the suction system, reducing the risk of infections that could compromise patient health or equipment functionality.

Engineered to meet high standards of quality and compatibility, the suction filters we provide can be seamlessly integrated into various hospital aspirator systems, providing reliable filtration that upholds the integrity of the aspirator's functionality. Regular replacement of this filter is recommended to sustain uninterrupted operation and adherence to health protocols.

Suction-filtration solutions

Applications

● Suction systems
● Gas sampling lines
● Medical breathing systems
● Single-use venting filters

Warnings

● Handle with care to avoid damaging the filter material.
● Sterilization by irradiation is not recommended.
● Do not use glue or cyclohexanone for joining with housing as it will clog the material itself, preventing gas from passing through.
● Avoid contact with alcohol or highly permeable solvents, otherwise, the material will become hydrophilic before it fully dries.
